Barack Obama is dusting off his campaign sneakers and marching back to Michigan to stump for Abdul El-Sayed. Democrats seem to think rolling out their old “hope and change” mascot is enough to drag their flailing candidates across the finish line. But any conservative with a pulse can see exactly what’s happening here: the left is panicking.
Let’s be real—Michigan voters have good memories. They remember 2016, when Obama parachuted in to rally for Hillary Clinton. The media told us Michigan was safely blue. Pollsters acted like it was a done deal. But President Trump blew through that blue wall, proving that the Democrats’ so-called “ground game” is a joke. Now the party elite wants to replay that losing strategy, thinking a former president can trick voters twice.
But that playbook didn’t work before, and it won’t work this time. The liberal establishment is desperate to keep control, even if it means trotting out failed politicians from the past. They claim to stand for the people, yet their candidates love cozying up to global interests and bowing to coastal elites. If Abdul El-Sayed is such a strong leader, why does he need Obama holding his hand?
The hypocrisy is laughable. Progressives preach about “new voices” and “the future,” yet their big plan is the same tired celebrity endorsements. Are Michigan voters supposed to ignore their economy, their jobs, and their families just because a former president says so? The Democrats act like Michiganders are gullible, but voters proved them wrong in 2016 and have every reason to do it again.
Barack Obama’s visit isn’t a sign of strength—it’s a siren song for a party that’s lost touch with America. If Michigan voters listen to the same empty promises, who’s really getting fooled here?
