Florida Democrat Kathy Castor faces backlash as insider trading scandal rocks her clean image

Florida Democrats are at it again, and this time it’s Rep. Kathy Castor on the hot seat. She wants voters to believe she’s fighting against congressional insider trading, but let’s look at the facts: Castor’s own financial records don’t exactly scream “clean hands.” It’s easy for her to support a ban now, after years of pocketing profits while sitting pretty in Congress. Is it real reform or just a desperate PR move?

The left loves to talk big about transparency. But when Republicans like Mike Beltran call out the double standards, Democrats start scrambling for cover. Castor denies she ever benefited from her position, yet her history tells a different story. Why do so many of these liberal elites make all the right trades, at all the right times? Maybe it’s luck—or maybe it’s the perks of a D.C. insider club that regular Americans never get to join.

While hard-working Floridians stretch every dollar, Castor and her Democratic pals rake in the cash, and then pat themselves on the back for finally backing anti-corruption laws—after they’re already rich. That’s liberal hypocrisy in action. Americans are sick of politicians who act one way in Washington and talk another way back home.

Of course, this isn’t just about Castor. It’s the same pattern we see again and again from the party that claims to stick up for the “little guy,” while using their offices to protect themselves and their globalist friends. When Republicans bring the heat, suddenly the left wants to rewrite their records and dodge questions. Guess it’s easier to silence critics than to actually lead with integrity.

Why should Americans trust a Democrat like Kathy Castor to clean up the swamp when she’s been swimming in it for years? If Democrats are serious about honesty, maybe they should start by calling out their own. Or maybe “do as I say, not as I do” is just the permanent motto of the liberal elite.
