Letitia James strikes again. Just when New Yorkers thought justice might be served fairly, the state’s Attorney General barges into another high-profile case, flexing her political muscles where they don’t belong. It’s no secret James loves the spotlight more than the truth, and this Cornell mess proves it yet again.
Let’s get one thing straight: James should have never touched this investigation. She couldn’t keep her mouth shut about the case from day one—rushing to judgment and making loud, performative statements. That alone makes her unfit to oversee anything resembling due process. But did Democrat leaders in New York care about fairness? Of course not. Governor Kathy Hochul, always happy to play political games, actually put James in charge as a “special prosecutor.” It’s just another example of liberal cronies circling the wagons while common sense gets thrown out the window.
The so-called “Cornell case” is nothing but a media circus at this point. Authorities looked into these allegations—serious ones, no doubt—at the time. No criminal charges were filed. Now, years later, we see a fresh civil lawsuit and a stampede of journalists hungry for headlines. Names are being tossed around, lives are put on the line, and yet the left still acts like James is on a holy mission, not a partisan witch hunt. One of the accused men has now had enough. He’s stepped up and wants James kicked off the case—and can you blame him?
Here’s the truth: James has made a career of targeting conservatives and the powerful, as long as it scores her brownie points with the liberal base. She doesn’t care about justice for everyone, just the next viral soundbite. When due process gets in the way of her ambitions, she casts it aside—rules for thee, but never for me. That’s the Democrat way in New York these days: pretend to care about the law, then break it for political revenge.
Americans should be furious. Our legal system isn’t supposed to be a playground for activist bureaucrats. Will we ever see these so-called leaders care more about truth than their own egos? Or is every New York investigation doomed to be nothing but a soap opera starring Letitia James? The people know the answer—and it’s not pretty.
