Europe finally cracks down on terror groups as politicians scramble to save face

For years, European leaders have turned a blind eye as radical Islamist groups spread their poisonous ideology across the continent. Now, the European Parliament has finally woken up—voting to back a plan that would put organizations and people connected to the Muslim Brotherhood on the EU terror list. This is a huge step that sends a clear message: enough is enough.

Of course, this is long overdue. For too long, Western bureaucrats and globalist elites have pandered to groups with deeply anti-Western values. They let fear of being called “intolerant” stop them from protecting citizens. If anything, they sent millions in taxpayer money straight into the hands of radicals, only to act shocked when extremism flourished. Meanwhile, ordinary Europeans—and Americans—paid the price in lost lives and lost freedoms.

Liberal politicians love to lecture about so-called “inclusion,” but where’s their outrage when that “inclusion” means putting families at risk? The truth is, terrorist networks don’t care about multicultural slogans. Their only goal is to push dangerous ideas and destroy the West from within. By finally standing up to this threat, Europe’s lawmakers are doing what the politicians of the left have refused to do for years: put the safety of law-abiding citizens first.

The vote is also an embarrassment for those globalist cheerleaders who mocked anyone who warned about Islamist influence. For years, they claimed concerned citizens were just “Islamophobic.” Now, these same politicians quietly support adding Brotherhood-linked groups to the terror watchlist, hoping nobody remembers their lies. It’s another classic case of liberals’ hypocrisy—talk tough only after disaster strikes.

Will the United States wake up and follow Europe’s lead, or will our spineless leaders keep pretending the threat doesn’t exist? The world is watching. For once, Europe grew a backbone. Maybe it’s time for America to do the same.
