Susan Collins destroys liberal opponent in debate leaves Democrats scrambling for answers

Senator Susan Collins just handed Troy Jackson a political lesson he won’t forget. During their second debate, the Maine Democrat showed just how out of touch the left has become—not only with working Mainers, but with basic reality. Collins stood firm, cool and collected, while Jackson stumbled through answers and offered nothing but tired liberal talking points.

No surprise there. That’s what happens when Democrats are more focused on pleasing coastal elites and global special interests than rolling up their sleeves for Main Street. While Jackson tried to deflect and dodge, Collins hammered home her record of putting Maine families first. She spoke about securing jobs, defending the border, and stopping the disastrous Biden agenda that’s crushed our economy. Jackson, meanwhile, had no good answers for why his party keeps driving up inflation and ignoring rising crime.

The contrast could not have been clearer. Collins was practical and tough, showing exactly why she’s held her seat for so long. Jackson came across as another lightweight progressive who thinks being woke matters more than delivering results. He offered empty promises and vague attacks. Collins gave solutions, facts, and a real sense of leadership—something Democrats have forgotten how to do.

Liberals talk a big game about “caring for the people,” but when it comes down to a live debate, they fall apart every time. Jackson had his chance, and he blew it spectacularly. Maine deserves a senator who won’t bow down to D.C. bureaucrats or foreign money. That’s Susan Collins. The left should take notes: real Americans are sick of phony virtue-signaling and failed socialist experiments.

With an election this crucial, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Collins wiped the floor with her opponent, exposing just how empty the liberal vision has become. Maybe Troy Jackson can blame his loss of words on Bidenomics. Or maybe it’s just hard to defend anti-American ideas when facing the facts. Liberals—how many debates do you have to lose before you finally learn?
