Another so-called “healthcare provider” in Texas got caught red-handed, raking in millions from a broken COVID handout program. Heal 360 and its owner, Dr. Mohammed Amer Mohiuddin, are coughing up $20 million after the feds caught them billing for tests, treatments, and services that never even happened. Brazen doesn’t even begin to cover it.
This latest fiasco is just part of a pattern that’s infected our government ever since liberals opened the cash spigot and told the country they’d ride in as pandemic heroes. Instead of real help, what did we get? Bureaucratic chaos, zero accountability, and a feeding frenzy for fraudsters. While law-abiding taxpayers struggled through lockdowns, scammers like this padded their wallets with public money meant for struggling Americans—all under the nose of the same big-government “experts” we’re told to trust.
Let’s get real. Programs like the Health Resources & Services Administration’s COVID “Uninsured Program” were perfectly designed for this kind of abuse. Politicians rushed out billions without oversight, trusting bureaucrats to keep an eye on things. Surprise, surprise: they didn’t. For two years, dishonest actors played the system, cashing in while Americans suffered. If the feds ever catch them, there’s a press release and a settlement, but where’s the justice for the people who actually needed care? Where’s the accountability for the politicians and their bureaucrat pals who were asleep at the wheel?
This is what happens when government gets too big and spends money like it grows on trees—all in the name of “compassion.” Liberals love to paint themselves as defenders of the vulnerable, but where were they when clinics like this ripped off a program for uninsured folks? Nowhere. There’s never any talk about rooting out fraud until the damage is done and the media is paying attention. We’re told it’s all under control, but Americans keep getting conned.
Taxpayers deserve better than this endless scam cycle. Maybe it’s time to treat rampant waste, fraud, and abuse as the crimes against the American people they truly are. How many more times do we have to watch government programs get looted in broad daylight before someone actually shuts off the gravy train? Or is this just the cost of “progress” under the endless reign of liberal spending?
