Parents Today Are Raising Wimps—And the Left Is Cheering it On
America used to be a country of tough, rough-and-tumble kids. We climbed trees, rode bikes down steep hills, skinned our knees, and actually survived. Today, the left wants to bubble-wrap childhood. They freak out any time a parent dares to let their child taste real adventure—exactly what happened when a dad took his kid mountain climbing and the internet exploded with outrage.
Liberals don’t want kids exposed to a single ounce of risk. Why? Because risk means responsibility, and responsibility scares them to death. If you let your child try something tough, you’re called “irresponsible” or even “dangerous.” Forget the fact that learning to handle a challenge, building independence, and yes, getting a little dirty, is how responsible, capable adults are made. You can’t raise future leaders on a diet of screen time and soy milk, but try telling that to the woke brigade.
Some fathers, thankfully, remember what real fatherhood looks like. They don’t let the shrieks of the so-called “parenting experts” stop them from letting their kids test their limits. These dads teach their children not just about climbing mountains, but about conquering life itself. You won’t see that kind of courage coming from those who treat every scraped elbow like a national emergency.
Meanwhile, the leftist helicopter parent army is in a tizzy. They think letting your kid walk a mile and a half to the store is reckless. No wonder American kids are now terrified of everything except their own reflections. Back in the day, we’d shake things off and listen to the old-school discipline of our fathers—not run to a safe space every time we saw a challenge. Maybe it wouldn’t kill us to let boys be boys—and, yes, girls be tough too.
The real risk to our country? Raising another generation afraid to face the world. That’s how the globalists, the bureaucrats, and the weak-minded win. If we don’t start letting kids climb their own mountains, soon they’ll be too scared to stand up for anything at all. Ask yourself: Who do you want running America one day—mountain climbers, or keyboard warriors?
