New York’s failed attempt at justice has reached a new low. Letitia James, the so-called “top cop” of New York, just found herself under fire—again. This time, it’s not just Trump supporters or conservatives crying foul. This time, the National Legal and Policy Center has filed an official bar complaint, calling out her reckless behavior in the infamous “Cornell 7” sexual assault case. When even legal watchdogs are raising the alarm, you know things have spiraled out of control.
What did Letitia James do? She ran her mouth, plain and simple. Instead of acting like a professional, she couldn’t resist the urge to jump in front of cameras and play activist. She made headline-grabbing statements about a very sensitive assault case at Cornell—right before she was even appointed as special prosecutor. It’s the oldest liberal trick in the book: pander to the mob, light up social media, and worry about facts later.
This story isn’t about one official’s ego. It’s about leftist hypocrisy. Democrats like James claim to care about justice and due process—until it’s an opportunity to score political points. Then, rules and ethics are tossed into the shredder. Imagine the outrage if a conservative attorney general blabbed about details in an ongoing case. The media would call for resignations. Instead, James gets a pass—from her allies, at least.
This is the real danger when partisan hacks take over our justice system. The big shots in Albany think the rules don’t apply to them. They want to tip the scales, push their woke agenda, and silence any watchdogs who get in their way. It doesn’t matter who gets hurt, as long as it feeds their hunger for attention and power.
Is this what America has come to? Legal power wielded like a weapon, not a shield. New Yorkers deserve better than officials who chase headlines instead of justice. The double standard is glaring, and it’s high time someone put a stop to it. Why should Americans trust any left-wing “leader” when they can’t even follow their own rules?
