America is supposed to be a nation of laws, not of lurking bureaucrats spying on the people supposed to defend our rights. But that idea is under attack, yet again, from the far-left deep state. Famed attorney Alan Dershowitz is sounding the alarm on what can only be described as one of the most dangerous abuses of power we’ve seen in years—and he’s absolutely right.
Jack Smith, the Biden DOJ’s pet prosecutor, is using high-tech spying devices to follow private phone calls between defense lawyers. Let that sink in. Defense lawyers—whose very job is to keep the justice system honest—are now being tracked by the very government they’re supposed to be fighting in court. This goes way beyond dirty politics. This is a direct hit on Americans’ expectations of privacy, due process, and basic decency.
What is the left so afraid of that they need to be snooping through lawyers’ calls? The answer is obvious: Power. The globalist, elitist wing in Washington will stop at nothing to shut up anyone who dares question their authority. If they can weaponize the DOJ to go after political opponents, what’s stopping them from treating any American the same way? First, it’s the defense lawyers. Next, it’s journalists… and after that, ordinary Americans.
Dershowitz, who’s no stranger to heated political fights, called out this corruption for what it is. He sees right through the DOJ’s excuses. Tracking lawyers’ private calls isn’t about “justice” or “keeping the public safe.” It’s about using government muscles as a sledgehammer to destroy anyone who stands in the way of their left-wing agenda. Meanwhile, liberal media will barely mention this, too busy chasing their own Trump-Russia fantasies or smearing anyone who points out the obvious dangers.
Americans should be outraged. If the DOJ can spy on lawyers today, they’ll have zero problem spying on you tomorrow. Anyone with a backbone left in Congress—and sadly, that isn’t many—should be demanding answers and putting a stop to this lunacy before it buries our Constitution for good. How much more of this anti-American overreach will we let the left get away with?
