Another American icon bites the dust, and this time, it’s happening right in the heart of Los Angeles. Fifteen years of hard work, loyal customers, and family memories at Tar & Roses – all gone. Why? Because Democrats can’t manage a city. This isn’t just about one restaurant; it’s about the disaster that Democrat policies have unleashed on every corner of what used to be a free, thriving America.
Tar & Roses isn’t some little-known diner. For a decade and a half, it stood strong on Santa Monica Boulevard, drawing crowds with its legendary food. But no business can survive skyrocketing taxes, endless red tape, and crime flooding the streets. Thanks to left-wing “leadership,” once-beautiful LA is now a place where entrepreneurs flee and people don’t feel safe leaving their homes after dark. It’s bad enough that families can no longer afford rent, but now even the places people gather — the local restaurants — are being pushed out.
While elites and globalists in their Hollywood mansions pretend everything is fine, small business owners watch everything they built dissolve. The so-called “progressive” crowd at City Hall claims they love local communities, but look at the results of their policies: empty storefronts, broken dreams, a city overrun by crime, and nothing but excuses from career politicians. If a standout restaurant like Tar & Roses can’t survive, what hope is left for anyone else struggling to make ends meet?
Liberal politicians keep promising solutions, but all they deliver is more regulations, higher taxes, and policies that drive honest Americans into the ground. Meanwhile, their pals line their pockets, and the press tries to spin another tale about “changing times.” Where does it end? How many more LA institutions have to be choked out by liberal incompetence before voters wake up? Hardworking people are punished. The city’s famous spirit gets crushed.
How many cherished American spots have to vanish before we admit the truth? This is the price of Democrats running our cities into the ground. Tar & Roses didn’t close because of changing tastes or bad business decisions. It closed because the left got exactly what it wanted: control, chaos, and a city dying from their policies. Are Californians finally done with the circus, or do we just sit back and watch every last shred of American culture disappear?
