California is supposed to be a land of sunshine and opportunity. Instead, it’s turning into a playground for government waste, Democrat lies, and failed liberal policies. The latest disgrace? A jaw-dropping $24 billion in homelessness funding has practically vanished into thin air, and the Democrat elites running Sacramento aren’t even pretending to care. What’s even crazier is that when Republicans demanded an audit to find out where the money went, Governor Gavin Newsom slammed the door and said no.
That’s right — $24 billion, gone. Imagine the number of American families that could’ve helped. But when liberals control the checkbook, billions evaporate like steam off hot asphalt, all while tent cities keep spreading on California sidewalks. Is this “compassionate” progressive leadership? Or is it just textbook incompetence and corruption? If California was a business, heads would roll. But the only thing rolling is more of your tax dollars straight into a bottomless pit, while Newsom turns his back.
Democrats are always bragging about their plans to solve homelessness. Yet after years of virtue signaling about how much they care, the situation is worse than ever. Streets lined with filth, criminal gangs thriving, neighborhoods destroyed — and what’s their excuse? Oh, they need more money. Funny how that money never seems to reach the people who need it. Instead, it ends up helping career politicians, globalist consultants, and the same left-wing interest groups who profit from misery.
Governor Newsom had a chance to open the books and show Californians some honesty. He refused. Why? What is he hiding? If the money had gone where it was supposed to, why veto a simple audit? Democrats scream about accountability when it’s someone else’s money, but they get awfully quiet when their own campaign donors are getting fat off taxpayer cash. Hypocrisy has become the main export of the California swamp.
It’s time Republicans stopped letting coastal elites treat the Golden State like their own piggybank. California families deserve answers—and some actual results. Until voters kick these corrupt liberal politicians out, the only thing California will lead in is lost money and broken promises. Who else wants to know where the billions went, or do Democrats think we’re too stupid to notice?
