Milwaukee leaders push sex offender neighborhoods as families pay the price

Milwaukee County’s liberal leadership has found a new low. David Crowley, the county executive, is cozying up to groups that want to coddle the most dangerous among us. Not only did he shower praise on a nonprofit supposedly fighting for those “in need of reentry,” but the founder of this very group once proposed a radical plan to build a whole neighborhood just for sex offenders. Let that sink in—actual communities designed specifically for predators. This is what counts as “progress” in leftist circles today.

Instead of standing up for law-abiding families and victims, Crowley and his government want to “share the vision” of a man who thinks rehabilitating sex criminals deserves top priority. Only in today’s twisted progressive world do violent offenders get more say in housing policy than the honest hardworking taxpayers who pay the bills. Liberals claim to care about public safety, but their policies always seem to put criminals first.

It’s part of a nationwide trend where Democrats make excuses for those who break the law. They insist these predators just need a “second chance.” Well, what about the people hurt by these criminals? Where is their second chance? These policies are insulting to anyone who believes in justice, community safety, and basic common sense.

Let’s call it what it is: this obsession with criminal “reentry” is nothing more than virtue signaling. It’s feel-good politics packaged to appease the activist crowd, with zero regard for the real-life consequences we all have to deal with. The globalist left, obsessed with erasing borders and moral lines, wants every community to absorb the risks so they can pat themselves on the back at fundraisers.

How much longer do Americans have to tolerate this madness? While honest citizens pay for the pleasure, elite liberals keep rewarding criminals and punishing the public. Maybe instead of building sex offender subdivisions, Milwaukee leaders should finally put honest families first. Or is that simply too much to ask for in Joe Biden’s America?
