Once again, New York’s so-called “leaders” are proving their loyalty doesn’t lie with American citizens. The radical, Democrat-run state just refused to process over 16,000 detainer orders for illegal immigrants with criminal ties—detainee orders that should have kept violent lawbreakers off our streets. Instead, Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City’s socialist Mayor Zohran Mandami have slammed the door in the face of law enforcement and common sense.
What’s happening in New York is shameful. While everyday Americans are working hard, paying taxes, and following the rules, the liberal elites in Albany and City Hall are handing out “get out of jail free” cards. And not just to any border-hopper—to thousands connected to crimes. Homeland Security’s Markwayne Mullin absolutely nailed it when he put the blame squarely on the Democrats running the show.
Let’s be real for a second: The left doesn’t care about crime victims. They care about illegal votes, open borders, and making sure their globalist donors stay happy. Protecting dangerous illegal immigrants isn’t compassion—it’s insanity. Whose side are they on? Because it sure isn’t the side of moms, dads, and families just trying to keep their neighborhoods safe.
We’re told to trust these “progressive” leaders, yet this is the result: Over 16,000 criminal aliens are now free to roam, because New York politicians are too obsessed with their anti-Trump agenda to put Americans first. They’d rather sabotage any tough immigration policy than do the right thing. If it wasn’t so dangerous, it would be laughable. But there’s nothing funny about thousands of criminals back on the streets.
How many more innocent Americans need to be hurt before the leftist ruling class wakes up? How long before Democrats start working for the people who actually live in this country legally? It’s time for leaders who believe in borders, the rule of law, and standing up for Americans—not selling us out to criminals and chaos.
