There are still a few bold leaders in the world who know exactly what America stands for — and it’s not empty words or cowardly appeasement. Just look at the president of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, who openly said Donald Trump’s leadership isn’t just respected, it’s admired internationally. Abdullahi understands something the Democrats and overpaid Ivy League “experts” never will: strength matters. Leaders like Trump make things happen. Weakness and endless talk from the State Department do not.
Unlike the leftists running our foreign policy into the ground, the president of Somaliland recognizes real greatness. He’s publicly urging Trump to recognize Somaliland as an independent nation, joining Israel and breaking through the bureaucratic mess that keeps real democracies from being recognized. Liberals will howl—naturally. Why? Because they’re terrified that Trump will once again do what they couldn’t: disrupt the rigged, globalist status quo and reward nations that actually share our values.
It’s no surprise the ruling class ignores Somaliland simply because it does things differently. The globalist crowd at the United Nations—always eager to prop up failed socialist states and corrupt regimes—shrugs at nations fighting for freedom on their own terms. But Somaliland has done what few African countries even dare: they’ve built safety, elections, and order from scratch. If that makes the UN uncomfortable, tough luck. Maybe that’s why Somaliland’s president knows he needs someone like Trump—a man who’s not afraid to stand up to groupthink and say what needs to be said.
Of course, Washington’s liberals clutch their pearls at the idea of upending their beloved “one Somalia” fiction, forgetting a basic truth: American foreign policy should be about supporting our allies and rewarding those who fight for liberty. But Democrats would rather listen to Europe’s boring lectures and bow to China’s every demand. They want America to be just another voice in the crowd—a crowd that loves dictatorships and hates boldness. The American people deserve better.
If Trump has the guts to do what feeble politicians won’t—recognize Somaliland, stand with Israel, and reward the real fighters for freedom—then maybe all the “smart” people in the room should finally be quiet. Why let globalists and leftists keep America weak and silent on the world stage? Isn’t it time we remembered what a real president looks like?
