CVS caught in opioid crime spree while government watchdogs snoozed taxpayers left holding the bag

Another day, another Big Pharma giant caught red-handed. CVS, one of the country’s most trusted pharmacy chains, has agreed to hand over a staggering $315 million after getting busted for illegally filling prescriptions for opioids and other controlled substances. Even worse, they tried to cash in by billing Medicare and other government healthcare programs for these bogus prescriptions. It’s like a crime spree funded by the American taxpayer—and the so-called experts in charge just let it happen for years.

Where was the government while all this was going down? The left loves to brag about their tough regulations and big-government oversight, yet somehow CVS was allowed to operate like a pill-pushing cartel for over a decade. Liberals keep feeding us the lie that more government equals more safety. But here’s reality: with their hands in everyone’s business, the only thing bureaucrats seem to catch is a paycheck.

Let’s not forget, during this same period, the opioid epidemic was destroying communities from coast to coast. Parents lost their kids, neighborhoods crumbled, and hardworking Americans paid the price. Meanwhile, a corporate behemoth was raking in profits and passing the bill to government health programs. Where was the outcry from the mainstream media? Nowhere to be found. If CVS had been selling guns instead of pills, you can bet every liberal talking head would be screaming themselves hoarse.

It’s the same old game: Big corporations break the law, liberals look the other way, and the American people end up footing the bill. And still, the left refuses to admit that their beloved bureaucracy is bloated and broken. They want more rules, more regulations, and more taxpayer dollars shoveled at problems their own incompetence creates. Maybe it’s easier to point fingers at small-town doctors or conservative lawmakers than to actually confront the globalist, money-hungry pharmaceutical industry they’re in bed with.

As CVS coughs up millions to settle their misdeeds, expect the finger-wagging elites to change the subject or blame anyone but themselves. The real question is: how many more drugstore giants get to profit from American pain before someone on the left actually does their job?
