The radical left is at it again, taking aim at our nation’s very foundation. This time, a Democrat from Illinois is pushing a shocking plan to abolish ICE, wipe out Border Patrol, and “dismantle” the Department of Homeland Security altogether. Just imagine — the people who are supposed to keep us safe from drug cartels, human traffickers, and terrorists would be gone, all so the left can score woke points before the midterm elections.
This isn’t just a strange idea cooked up by some fringe activist. It’s a real bill, backed by Democrats who seem to care more about open borders and globalist agendas than the actual safety and security of American citizens. What message does this send to the dangerous criminals flooding our borders? It tells them “Come on in, no one is going to stop you.” It’s a slap in the face to every hardworking Border Patrol and ICE agent risking their lives on the front lines.
Democrats love to lecture everyone about “law and order,” but when it comes down to real action, they do the exact opposite. They want to empty the jails, defund the police, and now, throw open the borders by disarming the very agencies sworn to protect us. It’s a head-spinning level of hypocrisy – and it shows a complete disregard for the safety of American families. How can anyone take them seriously on crime and security when their solution is to take away the cops?
The plan to dismantle Homeland Security is even more reckless. DHS was created after the horrors of 9/11, to stop terrorists and bad actors from exploiting our country’s weaknesses. But today’s Democrats want to erase all that. Wildly out of touch, they’d rather appease open-borders activists and anti-American radicals than stand up for the citizens who elected them.
At the end of the day, Americans have to ask: what kind of politician tries to get rid of the very people protecting our borders? Only one who’s completely lost touch with reality, or worse — someone who puts the interests of outsiders and global elites over the safety of their own country. Will voters send a message loud and clear in November? Or will we let the lunatics run the asylum?
