Anyone paying attention can see the truth: most Americans want voter ID. It’s simple common sense. Show your ID at the polls, just like you do when buying a beer or getting on a plane. Polls prove it—people of every race, age, and background know voter ID is fair. But for some reason, Democrat politicians refuse to listen. They’re stuck in their ivory towers, whining and complaining about “voter suppression,” when what they really want is chaos at the voting booth.
You have to ask yourself: why are Democrats so afraid of asking for ID? They act like it’s impossible for voters to find their driver’s license. Last time I checked, if you can show ID to cash a check or pick up medicine, you can do it to vote in an election. The real reason is obvious—they want loopholes. They want elections to be messy and confusing because it gives them power. When it comes to protecting our country, Democrats always come up with excuses and false arguments.
Meanwhile, folks across this great nation understand what’s at stake. They want to trust their elections. They want to know that the person voting next to them is actually who they say they are. There’s nothing racist, sexist, or “phobic” about that—it’s just basic security. Yet, Democrat elites scream about oppression, while completely ignoring what real Americans demand.
The hypocrisy is sickening. These same liberal leaders love to lecture the rest of us about “protecting democracy.” But when it comes to simple rules that protect the vote, suddenly they forget about fairness. It’s an insult to the intelligence of every voter in America.
When a sports commentator like Stephen A. Smith has to spell it out, you know Washington has gone totally off the rails. Maybe it’s time for these whining Democrats to sit down and let the people decide. If a photo ID is good enough for every other important part of life, why not for voting? The real question isn’t why we need voter ID—the real question is, what are the Democrats hiding?
