For years, we’ve been told that Europe’s biggest problem is its economy. The news media wrings its hands about budgets and spending, always blaming the markets or “right-wing populists.” But the dirty little secret? The real disaster in Europe isn’t measured in cash. It’s a blatant robbery—and the victims are the next generation.
At the turn of the century, the United States was sitting on a national debt of $5 trillion. The federal government was spending a manageable $1.78 trillion a year, and America was even running a budget surplus. Fast forward to today, and it’s a mess on both sides of the Atlantic. Liberal politicians have spent money like drunk teenagers with a stolen credit card—except the card belongs to our children and grandchildren. They promise endless entitlements, open borders, and “free” everything. But it’s not free. Someone has to pay the bill. Guess what? The next generation is going to be handed the check.
European leaders are obsessed with their socialist dreams, building bureaucracies and throwing away any sense of fiscal sanity. Instead of helping young people get started in life, their so-called “solutions” saddle them with crushing debts and tiny prospects for the future. Globalist elites pat themselves on the back for “progress,” but real progress doesn’t mean bankrupting your children. It means giving them a future worth fighting for.
Let’s get real: This isn’t just a question of numbers. It’s a crime against the young. Socialist governments in Europe, cheered on by their liberal American friends, have created a giant Ponzi scheme—one where working families are squeezed dry while politicians defend their power and privileges. Nothing screams hypocrisy louder than the so-called champions of “the people” looting tomorrow to pay for today’s gimmicks.
When you hear progressives cry about “equity,” ask them how fair it is to leave the youngest generation holding the bag. Where’s the justice in shooting future prosperity in the foot so today’s liberal elites can feel good about themselves? The harsh truth is this: there’s no moral high ground in stealing from your own children. Maybe it’s time politicians answered for this generational theft. Or better yet—maybe it’s time voters put someone in charge who actually gives a damn about America’s future.
