John Cleese, a comedian known for cutting through the nonsense, did what so few dare—he stood up against the woke mob, and called out the ridiculousness coming from former Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf. Cleese wasn’t afraid to say what needs to be said: Western values and Islam just don’t mesh the way liberals keep insisting they do. But apparently, refusing to bow to political correctness is grounds for outrage in today’s Britain.
Humza Yousaf, the darling of the progressive crowd, thinks even questioning the compatibility of Islam with life in Britain is an attack on some protected class. Liberals want to shut down debates, silence opinions, and shame anyone who dares stand up for traditional British values. How did we get to the point where honest conversation is now considered hate? That’s not progress—that’s tyranny dressed up as tolerance.
Just look at what’s happening on the streets of the UK: the left has made it borderline illegal to celebrate British culture. Waving the Union Jack or St. George’s flag is now suspect behavior. Meanwhile, we see more and more groups disrespecting British traditions—blocking streets to pray, shouting down Jewish citizens, making women and girls less safe, all while politicians look the other way. And we’re just supposed to accept this as the “new normal”—why? Because globalist elites say it’s what we deserve?
Let’s not pretend that ignoring these problems will make them vanish. Crime stats show a nasty rise in sex trafficking and violence—much of it swept under the rug in the name of multiculturalism. The left wants to convince us it’s racist to ask why, or to wonder if the root cause might just be unchecked immigration and a refusal to demand assimilation. Who is really being protected here? It certainly isn’t the average British citizen.
Britain didn’t become great by abandoning its values, and the West will keep crumbling as long as weak leaders like Yousaf get away with this insanity. Maybe what we need isn’t another lecture on “tolerance,” but a little backbone to defend what’s right. If telling the truth is now considered a crime, then maybe it’s time we stop listening to failed leaders and start fighting for our culture before there’s nothing left to save.
