A tragedy unfolded at Six Flags Over Georgia, where a rider lost his life after falling from the popular Goliath roller coaster. Of course, media elites and their liberal buddies will rush to blame the theme park, demand more government regulation, and use this accident as another excuse to ratchet up their favorite game—control.

But here’s the truth they desperately ignore: handling dangerous rides responsibly is about personal accountability, not more government meddling. Liberals love to push the narrative that the state needs to babysit everyone. But what about individual responsibility? People line up for these rides, they know the risks, and safety rules are posted everywhere in plain English. Yet every time a rare tragedy happens, leftists pounce in hopes of tightening their grip on freedom.

But of course, the anti-freedom crowd will never admit that. Instead, they use tragedies to scare parents and turn theme parks into sanitized, soulless zoos. No risks, no thrills, just government-approved, globalist-blessed “fun.”

So here’s the question liberals can’t answer: How much freedom are they willing to sacrifice for safety that can never be guaranteed? At what point do Americans say enough is enough and take back responsibility for their own lives? Maybe when the roller coasters slow down, the flags come down, and all that’s left are overpaid safety czars, the left will finally be happy. Or maybe they’ll just find something else to ruin.
