Pennsylvania families are getting hammered by sky-high electricity bills—and liberals only seem to make things worse. For years, they’ve promised that green energy would bring costs down. Instead, it’s done the opposite. Prices keep soaring, and the average family is hurting.
Now, some politicians are scrambling for a fix. Their new idea? Let communities negotiate electricity deals as big groups so they can supposedly get better prices. But whenever government steps into the market, it rarely works out for the little guy. Bureaucrats always add more red tape, picking winners and losers based on political agendas, not common sense.
The truth is, these price hikes didn’t happen by accident. Radical climate policies, endless regulations, and backroom deals with globalist energy companies drove up costs. Regular Americans are paying the price while out-of-touch elites cheer for more unreliable wind turbines and solar experiments. Pennsylvania used to have some of the cheapest, most reliable power—thanks to real American energy like coal and natural gas. Liberals don’t want to talk about that.
What’s really outrageous is the hypocrisy. The same crowd that promises “choice” in every walk of life suddenly wants to herd people together just to bargain for electricity. So much for the free market! If they really cared about Pennsylvanians, they’d get rid of the burdensome rules and unleash real American energy again.
Here’s a radical thought for lawmakers: stop punishing working people with leftist energy fantasies. Let the market work, cut the nonsense, and watch prices fall. Why should your family pay so much for the lights to stay on, just because bureaucrats want to virtue signal about the climate?
