Shocking truth about LADWP exposed while wildfires raged they left LA families to burn

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons. This time, they’re crawling out with an apology, but not for the real disaster – letting reserves sit half-empty while wildfires destroyed neighborhoods and wildlife last year. No, their sorry excuse today is about dragging their feet rebuilding what should have never burned in the first place. You read that right: the people in charge of protecting LA’s water and energy sat by, did nothing, and people paid the price.

This is the natural outcome of big government gone wild. The bureaucrats at the LADWP live in their own world, collecting fat paychecks while running the so-called “green” department straight into the ground. They’re more obsessed with virtue-signaling green programs and listening to eco-activists than actually doing the job they’re paid to do: protect the citizens, secure critical infrastructure, and make sure disasters like these don’t happen. The left’s idea of “leadership”? An endless parade of apologies, studies, and “reimagining”—but when it comes to rolling up their sleeves and fixing problems, they vanish.

Maybe if the folks running the LADWP had spent less time chasing globalist climate schemes and more time filling the reservoirs, Southern California families wouldn’t have lost homes, livelihoods, or precious wildlife. But in Los Angeles, the city run by liberal elites, reality is always someone else’s problem. When the fires were raging, who was making the calls? No one. Because accountability is a dirty word in a city overrun by leftwing ideologues.

Now, the same politicians and lawless technocrats want everyone to forget the devastation and just accept a half-hearted “oops, our bad.” That’s not going to cut it. The people paying sky-high rates for an incompetent utility deserve actual answers, not carefully-worded apologies and backroom deals. It’s no surprise that under liberal control, even the most basic things—like keeping water reservoirs full—get messed up beyond belief.

LA needs a major shakeup, not another apology tour. It’s time to demand a new era of real leadership—one that puts the people, not woke politics, first. How many disasters will it take before the taxpayers say enough is enough?
