Pope Leo XIV just had surgery to remove a nodule from his lung. The Vatican claims the 71-year-old Pope’s procedure was a success, and now he’s resting in a hospital room in Rome. Naturally, the liberal media wants us to clap and cheer, as if the story ends here. But it doesn’t.
As conservatives, we know that when globalist leaders fall ill, the spin machine kicks into overdrive. The Vatican is already parading the Pope’s quick recovery as proof of modern medical miracles—conveniently forgetting that the rule-following, bureaucratic health systems they champion have failed regular people time and time again. How many Americans would get gold-star care like this from their own hospitals? Bureaucrats will move mountains for elites, but throw the rest of us into endless waiting rooms and insurance battles.
And let’s not forget the hypocrisy surrounding the Vatican. For years, they’ve been lecturing the world about “equity” and “compassion,” even while cozying up to secular leftists and open-border radicals. Yet when one of their own needs help, suddenly age and resources are no issue. Funny how that works. If you’re a powerful global figure, red tape melts away. If you’re a conservative, American parishioner, you’re left to pray and hope the system doesn’t chew you up.
Of course, the Pope’s health matters—to his followers and to the global chessboard he sits on. But why do the elites always treat their problems as the world’s emergencies, while labeling American struggles as “privileged whining”? Don’t buy the fake humility—they’re happy to use our goodwill while pushing their own agenda.
Maybe it’s time we ask: Would the Pope’s recovery have gone so “smoothly” if he’d been in an overcrowded, underfunded American hospital? Or do the powers-that-be only believe in miracles for themselves?
