Washington team disgrace shows how woke attitudes ruined football and America

Sunday’s so-called “football” game between the Giants and Washington was a disgrace—plain and simple. Anyone with common sense could see this train wreck coming. The weather was a nightmare—cold, wet, just downright miserable. But that’s football weather. That’s when men show what they’re made of. Instead, we witnessed a mess of fumbles, brainless decisions, and a Washington team that decided mediocrity was good enough.

Let’s not sugarcoat it: Washington, once proud to be known as the Redskins, handed away victory. The last few minutes were a display of cowardice. The team had every chance to win, but when it mattered, they chose to play it safe and settle for a tie. That’s not old-school football. That’s not the American spirit. That’s the participation trophy mindset infecting every level of our culture—brought to you by the same crowd that cries whenever someone gets their feelings hurt.

And let’s talk about the name change. Many fans still call them the Redskins, because that’s who they really are—at least before the woke mob forced a meaningless rebranding. Now, after all that pandering, do we see a better team? Not a chance. We see a group afraid of taking risks and obsessed with looking politically correct instead of playing to win. Maybe there’s a connection.

Meanwhile, the fans sit in the cold and mud, hoping for a real fight on the field, like the battles this country was built on. Instead, Washington turns up its nose at its own traditions, fumbles away a victory, and hides behind a tie. They act as if settling is somehow noble. It’s pathetic—and totally in line with the soft attitudes being pushed by liberal elites and globalist billionaires who want everyone to just fall in line and accept less.

At the end of the day, this wasn’t just a football game. It was a snapshot of modern America. Weak leadership. No guts. Happy to settle for a draw and call it progress. That’s not what the fans deserve, and it’s definitely not what this country needs. Maybe next time, someone on that Washington sideline will actually play to win instead of caving to the cowardice of our times. But don’t hold your breath.
