For too long, American graduates have been brushed aside while big companies gobbled up cheap foreign labor. Globalists have treated hardworking Americans as if they are second-class citizens in their own country. But now, there’s a sign of hope. The Department of Homeland Security is finally cracking down on the endless parade of rubber-stamp visa extensions for temporary foreign workers.
Under the old, broken system, corporations barely had to lift a finger before getting visa renewals approved. American job seekers didn’t stand a chance, as companies automatically brought back foreign workers year after year. Skilled young Americans, loaded with student debt and ambition, watched their jobs disappear because greedy CEOs would rather import “temporary” workers than pay fair wages to Americans.
Now, the grip of the open borders crowd is slipping. Those same companies pushing diversity slogans will actually have to prove—every single time—that there’s no American talent available before begging for more foreign visas. Imagine that! Instead of bending over backward for woke Silicon Valley billionaires and globalist elites, our government is, at last, giving the American worker a fair shot.
Predictably, liberals will shriek about “xenophobia” and “fairness,” but what about fairness for the American family? What about the kid from Ohio or Texas who spent years studying, but can’t get a job because some tech giant wants cheap labor from overseas? The left always talks about lifting up the American middle class—here’s a real chance to do it, and you can bet they’re already whining.
This new DHS rule is common sense. America should reward its own citizens—not turn them into second-class workers. Maybe it’s time for the so-called progressives to explain why they keep siding with corporate titans, foreign lobbyists, and globalist interests over everyday American families. When will they start putting Americans first? Or do they no longer care what country they live in?
