Every time the left pushes public transportation, Americans get the same tired lecture: “Cars are bad, trust the buses and trains.” They want you to trade in your own wheels for a spot on dirty, dangerous light rail cars, rubbing elbows with strangers and hoping the next stop isn’t your last. It’s all about control—make no mistake. Liberals aren’t shy about their dream: a world where government decides when and how you can travel.
Recently, another glossy headline tried to convince Minnesotans that light rail is perfectly safe—as long as you ignore the constant stream of violent crime haunting every railcar. If you turn a blind eye to the attacks, the thefts, the vulnerable citizens getting hurt, then sure—everything’s just fine! That’s the liberal way. They ignore reality while real Americans pay the price.
Let’s be honest—everyday folks know the truth. People don’t want to be forced onto public transit, especially when riding the train means risking your safety. When the only way to get downtown is through gang territory on a rail line the city won’t police, who benefits? Certainly not families, working moms, or the elderly. Liberals claim it’s for the “greater good,” but it’s really about putting more power in the hands of bureaucrats and out-of-touch city planners who never ride these trains themselves.
Meanwhile, while gas prices soar—thanks to the same anti-American policies ripping up our energy independence—the left cheers for “historic” numbers on public transportation. They love nothing more than seeing Americans squeezed out of their cars and herded like cattle, just to say they’re “saving the planet.” They don’t care about your safety or your freedom to move. All that matters is getting you under their thumb.
If the left actually cared about public safety, they’d fix the crime problem first. Instead, they keep telling us the light rail is safe—just don’t look at the crime reports, and certainly don’t mention the tragedy and violence that are becoming all too familiar. So why do liberals keep downplaying the danger? Either they’re blind, or they simply don’t care what happens to you or your family. What’s next—will they ask us to ignore carjackings too, as long as it fits their narrative?
