David Crowley wants to give away your healthcare but refuses to say how much it will cost you

David Crowley thinks he can buy votes by handing out government healthcare like Halloween candy. The Milwaukee County Executive is on a mission to spread the state’s BadgerCare program to every last corner of Wisconsin. He calls it compassion. But underneath the pretty talk, it’s just socialism dressed up with a Wisconsin accent.

Let’s get real: there’s no free lunch. Crowley keeps promising the moon, but he won’t say how much these handouts are going to cost—or who will end up footing the bill. Taxpayers already see their hard-earned dollars disappearing faster than cheese curds at a Packers tailgate. Now Crowley wants those same families to pay even more for a healthcare scheme that sounds more like California or New York than America’s Heartland.

What’s even worse is the silence. Crowley has no answers. Not a peep about the price tag or who gets stuck with it. This is classic liberal incompetence—spend big, hide the details, then act shocked when the money runs out or taxes go through the roof. Are we supposed to just trust the same big-government crowd that can’t run a DMV to run your doctor’s office, too?

Make no mistake: this isn’t about helping families. It’s about growing government, creating more dependency, and making Wisconsin look more like a failed European state. Crowley and his left-wing friends want control, plain and simple. They want every decision about your health to go through a bureaucrat, not your own doctor. That’s not progress—it’s an insult to hardworking Americans who actually believe in personal freedom.

Maybe that’s why Crowley refuses to explain where the money will come from. He knows the American people would never agree to this kind of reckless spending if they knew the truth. So, is this what we’ve come to in Wisconsin? Leaders who sell us pipe dreams, hide the real cost, and hope nobody asks tough questions? Wake up, Wisconsin. The real sickness is liberal “solutions” that never work.
