There’s something almost poetic about a big-government liberal finally helping his state—by packing his bags and disappearing from public life. After two long, painful terms, the “legacy” left behind is nothing but debt, division, and a bunch of learning centers nobody wanted or needed. It takes a special kind of politician to leave office with people relieved he’s gone, but that’s exactly what happens when voters finally get tired of empty promises and failed policies.
Liberals love to showboat about “investing in education,” but what do we really get? More pointless projects, more learning centers, and more bureaucratic nonsense—all paid for by taxpayers who are struggling to keep up with inflation. The ruling elites pat themselves on the back, all while parents and kids are left with closed schools, falling scores, and watered-down curriculums that do nothing to prepare them for the real world. Meanwhile, governor after governor lines up to take credit for throwing taxpayer money into these black holes.
It’s no wonder hardworking Americans are frustrated. For years, they’ve watched politicians on the left ignore real problems like crime, border security, and jobs, all while wasting precious resources on pet projects. They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, but no one’s shedding a tear now that this governor is out the door. If anything, the people can finally breathe a sigh of relief that at least he’s not around to mess things up any further.
Let’s be honest—these “leaders” don’t care about the consequences of their wild spending sprees. They answer to globalist interests, not to the voters at home. All that matters to them is grabbing headlines and building their own political résumé, even if it means leaving local families to pick up the pieces. Hypocrisy runs deep in liberal politics: claim to be “for the people,” but govern for the lobbyists and the teachers’ unions.
It’s time for a new breed of leadership. Americans deserve leaders who respect their hard work, champion family values, and demand results—not empty suits whose greatest achievement is finally going away. After years of failed liberal experiments, maybe what this state really needed was just a little less government in the first place. Isn’t it amazing what politicians can accomplish just by leaving?
