Ninth Circuit smacks down Newsom’s wild plan to boss federal agents

Once again, Gavin Newsom tried to put California’s radical agenda ahead of the law. The governor thought he had the power to control how federal officers do their jobs. He dreamed up a scheme that would force federal agents to show ID the way he wants—right in the heat of enforcing the law. But the Ninth Circuit just gave Newsom a civics lesson he won’t forget.

California’s so-called “No Vigilantes Act” was all about tying the hands of federal law enforcement. Newsom and his friends were desperate to dictate every move Border Patrol, ICE, and other brave officers make. Imagine city politicians telling the FBI how to arrest a terrorist. That was Newsom’s fantasy—California as the boss of America.

But judges on the Ninth Circuit, not known for being conservative, finally put their foot down. Even they couldn’t swallow the idea of a blue state governor bossing around federal officers. The court ordered a stop to the heart of Newsom’s plan, letting federal lawmen do their jobs without jumping through flimsy bureaucratic hoops.

Under Newsom, liberals parade around as if California is its own country. They want to ignore federal laws they don’t like and invent new ones to push their open-borders, anti-police agenda. If the governor could get away with this, where would it end? Next, would he demand federal agents ask his permission before arresting drug traffickers or cartels? The arrogance is stunning.

The left never stops playing games with our safety and sovereignty. They tie up federal officers, then cry about crime and chaos. Real Americans should be cheering that this wild abuse of power just hit a wall. Newsom wants to be king, but the Constitution says otherwise. Maybe next time, Democrats should read it before they pretend they own the place.
