The latest so-called “diesel deal” connected to President Trump is a classic example of elite hubris and Washington double-talk. The left loves to rage about so-called “foreign interference” or “Russian collusion,” but now they seem bizarrely quiet about one painful reality: every drop of oil revenue Putin rakes in goes straight into building bombs and drones. The same bombs that rain down on innocent Ukrainians, night after night. So why are our leaders — and their globalist cronies — making it easier for Putin to fill his coffers?
It’s nothing short of insanity. Liberals love to push twisted narratives to protect their own. They twist themselves in knots trying to downplay the effects of energy deals with Russia. They promise this time will be different. But let’s be honest, their incompetence has done nothing to stop Putin’s war machine. The only real winners here are brutal oligarchs and corrupt bureaucrats. The losers? Everyday Ukrainians, whose lives are torn apart by Russian bombs — and Americans, who foot the bill for half-baked, disastrous foreign policy.
Meanwhile, big-shot globalists and left-wing talking heads wag their fingers, pretending they care about freedom and democracy. But where’s the outrage over bankrolling the Kremlin with diesel profits? Democrats will scream about “protecting Ukraine” during election years, but when the cameras are off, they’re happy to keep the pipelines — and the cash — flowing. All talk, no backbone.
With this diesel debacle, the left proves again that they’re far more interested in virtue-signaling than actually stopping evil. If they really cared about Ukraine’s survival, they’d end every shady deal that lets Putin buy more missiles. Instead, they hide behind red tape, appeasing dictators while pretending their hands are clean.
Americans can see the hypocrisy a mile away. If you claim to stand with Ukraine, you don’t hand blood money to the guy dropping bombs on their children. It’s that simple. Does the left really want to stop Putin, or are their cronies just too addicted to foreign oil cash to do what’s right?
