Venezuela’s Crisis Exposes the Ugly Truth Global Elites Don’t Want You to Know

It’s not hard to see why Venezuela is a mess right now. Years of socialist rule have left the country battered and broken. But now, we’re told there’s yet another round of “talks” to bring democracy back to Venezuela. The State Department is cheering these talks on, as if another meeting is the magic bullet. Give us a break.

The truth is, communism doesn’t let go easily. People in Venezuela have suffered under brutal socialist dictators who call themselves “leaders.” While international bureaucrats sip their lattes in Geneva and DC, Venezuelan families are scrounging for food and praying the lights stay on. The trauma runs deep, and it isn’t cured by diplomatic niceties or woke speeches about “democratic transitions.”

While American leftists like to signal virtue and call for endless “negotiations,” the real enemy is socialism itself. The last thing Venezuela needs is more of the same failed policies that got them into this hole. But that seems to be the solution offered up by the global elites: More conversations, more delays, and more misery for ordinary people.

The State Department’s latest mouthpiece claims change is “actively underway.” But let’s face it, these bureaucrats are more interested in photo-ops than actually holding corrupt regimes accountable. Where were the globalists when socialist thugs were rigging elections and silencing dissent? Now, suddenly, they care about democracy—if the right people are in control.

If we’re serious about helping Venezuela, our own leaders need to stop pretending compromise is possible with despots. Real freedom isn’t handed out in a roundtable discussion—it’s fought for. Maybe the left should get their heads out of the clouds and learn from Venezuela’s pain. Or is that too uncomfortable, since socialism is their failed experiment in the first place?
