It’s about time someone at Cornell faces the music. The university’s president now stands on the chopping block, and not a moment too soon. For years, the so-called “elite” have looked down on ordinary Americans, pretending they hold all the answers. Yet when the Cornell 7 case landed in their lap, these ivory tower intellectuals completely botched it. The people in charge let chaos reign and bent over backwards for political correctness, instead of enforcing real justice or common sense.
The board of trustees is meeting to decide this president’s fate, and it’s hard for any thinking person to argue they shouldn’t. Leadership isn’t about hiding behind fancy degrees or cozying up to globalist donors. It’s about accountability. Why should taxpayers and students keep pouring money into a system that refuses to do its job? Cornell let every radical activist run wild, and now it’s paying the price for that cowardice.
This is classic liberal incompetence. They talk endlessly about equity, tolerance, and protecting the “marginalized.” But when genuine leadership is required—when students and families demand order and safety—the liberals in charge melt like snowflakes in the sun. Let’s be honest: these woke administrators will trip over themselves to punish anyone who questions their sacred narratives, but stonewall when reality doesn’t fit the script.
It’s no shock Cornell ended up in this mess. When universities care more about appeasing angry mobs and global interests than education or freedom, ugly scandals are bound to explode. The so-called progressive agenda that runs these campuses has gutted common sense. They preach diversity, but the only thing diverse about their world is the long list of ways they fail their own students.
Will the board finally find a backbone? Will they stand up to the corruption and left-wing circus that has taken over one of America’s oldest universities? If Cornell wants to restore trust, it needs to clean house from the top down. Maybe then, higher education can finally remember what being American is all about—fairness, truth, and accountability. Or will the liberals just keep sweeping their mess under another ivy-covered rug?
