Democrat Senate candidate bails on black voters and proves liberals only care during elections

Democrats love to parade around and claim they care about minority voters. They promise the moon during election season, only to vanish when it’s time to actually deliver. Just look at James Talarico, the Senate candidate who couldn’t even be bothered to show up for black Texans. He decided that hosting an event with them simply wasn’t worth his time, pulling the plug altogether while he was off the campaign trail. So much for that so-called “big tent” party.

This shouldn’t surprise anyone paying attention. Liberals talk a big game about representing “all voices,” but the reality is they care more about power than people. Talarico’s cancellation screams of the contempt elites in his party really have for those they claim to represent. The left never misses a chance to pander when cameras are rolling, but the minute they think nobody’s watching, it’s a different story. Black voters see exactly what’s happening. They know when they’re being used as stepping stones.

Of course, the media will do their best to sweep this under the rug. They’ll say Talarico was “busy,” or that this is just a misunderstanding. Don’t buy it. This is a clear sign of the left’s hypocrisy. For all the talk of “community,” “diversity,” and “equity,” Democrat leaders run for the exits when they’re called to show up for real people with real issues. If conservative leaders acted this way, there would be endless outrage on every mainstream network.

When black voters—or any Americans—stand up and demand accountability, Democrats stumble and hide. They’re terrified of tough questions, especially from people they consider part of their “base.” But that base is waking up. Folks are tired of broken promises and empty gestures. They want respect, not more empty words from smug career politicians.

James Talarico’s stunt is a perfect example of modern liberal arrogance. If he can’t be trusted to keep a simple campaign event with black Texans, why on Earth would anyone trust him in office? Maybe it’s time for Democrats to learn this isn’t their voter bloc to abuse and abandon. If this is “progress,” America deserves a whole lot better.
