America has always been a nation of laws and borders. That’s the promise every country owes its citizens—security, order, and the right to decide who comes in and who stays out. For years, conservatives have sounded the alarm on the chaos at our southern border, only to be met with liberal spin and empty gestures from the so-called experts in D.C.
Suddenly, the Department of Homeland Security is bragging about the lowest number of border crossings ever recorded in a single year. They’re calling it history-making. What a switch! For nearly two decades, the left lectured Americans about “compassion” while allowing an invasion of illegal border crossers that put American lives and jobs at risk. Now, after years of open borders madness, they want credit for finally doing the bare minimum—enforcing the law.
Let’s be real. This isn’t about compassion or sound policy. This is about Democrats losing ground as Americans demand real results. With an election around the corner, their poll numbers tanking, and cities like New York begging for relief from migrant overload, suddenly the bureaucrats at DHS have found the will to act. We’re supposed to applaud them for a 95 percent drop in border apprehensions and a miraculous streak of zero “catch and release” months? Where was this urgency when our schools, hospitals, and cities were buckling under the pressure of unchecked migration?
The hypocrisy is stunning. While the globalist elite fund their walled mansions and private security, everyday Americans pay the real price—danger, drugs, and crime flooding across the border for far too long. Liberals told us it couldn’t be done, and now, just in time for midterms, they want us to believe it was easy all along. They ignored the law, stripped our resources, then expected us to say thank you when they decided to clean up their own mess.
Here’s the truth: Americans never asked for open borders, and we never voted for lawlessness. The silent majority forced this about-face with their voices, their votes, and their outrage. Maybe next time, the left will listen before the damage is done. Or maybe they’re just hoping we forget who created this crisis in the first place.
So the border is finally under control—for now. But if voters let their guard down, how long before the gates swing open again?
