Every so often, liberals love to act like they’re the only ones who know anything about history, literature, or the so-called “great quotes.” But when it comes to Shakespeare—the literary king himself—they always get it wrong. Take that famous line, “The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.” Oh, the left eats that up, spinning it like it’s some clever joke about lawyers being annoying. They completely miss the real point, and either they’re clueless or it’s just convenient for their anti-American agenda.
If there’s one thing radicals can’t stand, it’s those who protect law and order. Shakespeare’s warning isn’t about hating lawyers for fun. It’s about getting rid of the people who stand in the way of chaos. In Shakespeare’s world, the schemers want total power. Their solution? Eliminate the lawyers—those who defend the rule of law—so anarchy can reign. Sound familiar? Some modern-day activists would love nothing more than to bulldoze through the Constitution and silence anyone who stands up for your rights.
But liberals, in their arrogance, will always weaponize language and twist history. They turn a warning against tyranny into a punchline at the bar. They’ll slap the Shakespeare quote on mugs and t-shirts, never realizing—or caring—that it actually warns against everything they stand for. They’re so busy mocking lawyers, judges, police, and anyone who stands up for tradition, they happily cheer the very message Shakespeare tried to caution us about: take away ethics and the law, and you get mob rule.
Here’s the real kicker. Every time the radical left takes a swipe at law enforcement, legal defense, or the Constitution, they’re doing exactly what Shakespeare’s bad guys wanted: tearing down the pillars of civilized society. Is it just ignorance, or is it their *plan*? Maybe they want a world where laws mean nothing and woke mobs run the show. If that’s freedom, count this writer out.
This is America, where law, order, and procedure keep us free. The left can sneer all they want at “lawyers” and “courtrooms,” but try living in a country where there’s no one left to fight for your rights. Spoiler alert: it doesn’t end well. Maybe it’s time folks on the left brush up on their Shakespeare—or at least stop proving his point every time they open their mouths.
