These are the same so-called leaders who love blaming guns for the violence while ignoring the people who wield them for evil. It’s easy for them—just blame the inanimate object, collect campaign donations from globalist groups, and wrap themselves in platitudes about “common sense gun laws.” Meanwhile, when a responsible citizen stops a killer, the silence from city halls and governor’s mansions is deafening.
Leftist leaders always want to strip Americans of their right to defend their families, especially in states like Oregon. They grandstand for cameras and yell about stricter gun laws while their own policies disarm the good guys and leave schools vulnerable. They refuse to highlight real acts of bravery by everyday Americans because it doesn’t fit their tired anti-gun agenda. Where is the public statement from the governor hailing this father as the hero he is? Nowhere—because it doesn’t get them votes or donations from their woke backers.
Here’s the truth the left can’t stand: Bad people exist, and laws won’t stop those who are determined to do evil. But a good guy with courage—sometimes with a weapon, always with grit—can make all the difference. It’s the heroic citizens, not the hand-wringing bureaucrats, who save lives when seconds count. Parents and teachers deserve the same tools and respect to protect the innocent that this heroic dad had. Instead, the professional politicians want to leave us helpless, all so they can pat themselves on the back at their next campaign fundraiser.
