Italy bans pork from school lunches in shocking move to erase centuries of tradition

There it is—the latest surrender on the altar of political correctness. Italy, the very heart and soul of traditional pork cuisine, is scrapping pork from school lunches. Yes, you read that right. The land of prosciutto, pancetta, and spicy Italian sausage is now bowing down, tossing out the time-honored foods generations have cherished. All for the sake of appeasing a handful of loud, perpetually offended activists.

Let’s not kid ourselves: pork isn’t just another meat over there, it’s practically an institution. Guanciale, prosciutto, and salami are woven into the nation’s identity. Italian food without pork is like American food with no hamburgers or hot dogs. But suddenly, bureaucrats and left-wing ideologues have decided those old traditions aren’t “inclusive” enough. So, instead of teaching respect and tolerance, they tell proud Italians to erase their culture.

Where does it end? Today it’s pork in schools. Tomorrow, will they demand an end to Italian Christmas traditions, or remove monuments to Catholic saints? The radical left in Europe is already chipping away at every sign of national identity. They don’t care about tradition, only about pleasing globalist elites and undermining the values and customs that define Western civilization.

Anyone paying attention should see where this is going. Every time weak leaders cave to pressure, they send one more message: your heritage doesn’t matter. But the moment you try to protect your way of life, you’re called “intolerant” or “bigoted.” The real intolerance here comes from those who demand total submission to their narrow worldview—one that throws out centuries of glorious tradition to please the anti-Western mob.

If Italy can’t even defend its own food, what hope is left? If you want to destroy a nation, start with its kitchen. Liberals will never stop until every country looks, acts, and eats exactly the same way—which is to say, bland, watered-down, and stripped of meaning. Are we really supposed to celebrate erasing the past just to keep the global activists happy? Or is it finally time we tell them: hands off our culture?
