It’s another week, another leftist circus in the entertainment world. The latest ringleader? Macklemore—yes, the guy you never asked for and probably haven’t even heard on the radio in years. This self-important fur coat enthusiast decided he needed more attention and pulled out the oldest trick in the leftist playbook: antisemitic rants disguised as activism. Of course, instead of consequences, Macklemore gets a headline and a backstage pass to virtue signal on the main stage.
Then there’s Ed Sheeran, caught in the crossfire, desperately trying to please everybody. Like so many celebrities before him, Sheeran can’t pick a lane. He tossed a few scraps to the woke mob, hoping they’d eat it up and move along. They didn’t. That’s the thing about the outrage industry—it’s never satisfied. Try to play the middle ground, and the mob will still come for you, every single time.
We’ve seen this pattern again and again. The so-called cultural elites—musicians, actors, late-night “comedians”—think they have the moral high ground. They lecture hard-working Americans from their mansions, accuse others of hate, and then expect applause when they fail to take a real stand. Meanwhile, their fans just want to enjoy music without being lectured or bombarded by politics. But the left can’t help themselves. They’d rather eat their own alive than risk losing relevance.
Liberal incompetence is on full display when celebrities decide playing politics is more important than performing. And when globalist interests are calling the shots, it’s no wonder America’s culture keeps sinking. These self-proclaimed progressives love to talk about “inclusion” and “acceptance”—as long as you agree with whatever the mob is screeching about this week. Disagree, and suddenly you’re the villain.
Maybe it’s time for people to stop caring what washed-up pop stars have to say about serious issues. Real Americans aren’t moved by fake outrage or phony apologies. They’re tired of being told what to think by celebrities desperate for clicks and relevancy. When will the left realize that their hypocrisy isn’t just boring—it’s downright predictable?
