It’s time to face the ugly truth: the liberal media want you addicted to misery. Day after day, they march out a bold parade of horrors—murders, scandals, violence, and perversion—all packaged to keep you terrified and glued to the screen. It’s no accident. This kind of fearmongering isn’t just laziness. It’s their plan. The more you’re scared, the easier you are to manipulate. That’s the left’s playbook: keep Americans feeling hopeless, weak, and desperate for someone, anyone, to “fix” things—usually with bigger government.
Turn on the TV, and your senses get bombarded by one tragedy after another. Some random attack in a blue city. Hollywood’s latest train wreck. Warnings that the world’s about to end. They shovel vulgar headlines and grotesque images at you, slap on a trigger warning, and call it “news.” What they’re really peddling is pure poison for the soul. But why would anyone buy this garbage, day after day? Simple: because the media want you hooked on despair, numb to real beauty, and blind to what makes life good in this country.
And the damage goes beyond gloom. When’s the last time you saw the networks give more than a minute to real stories of hope or faith or human kindness? The default is rage, chaos, and freakish headlines. They want you to believe America is nothing but a crooked, violent wasteland—unless, of course, we’re turning ourselves inside out for whatever globalist scheme is next on their agenda. Isn’t it funny how the worst stories always make the 6 o’clock news, but a sunrise over Main Street gets zero airtime? The left’s answer: sweep good things under the rug, because optimism gets in the way of their politics of panic.
Meanwhile, anyone daring to step outside the media’s doom-and-gloom machine is branded insane or naive. God forbid you should breathe fresh air, feel the sun, or say out loud that daily life is filled with purpose and joy. No, the media’s narrative must dominate—one that says you’re powerless, surrounded by evil, and need never-ending “protection” from faceless bureaucrats and “experts.” That’s not journalism. That’s mental manipulation, pure and simple.
Here’s a radical idea: unplug. Refuse to be chained by the left’s mind-forged manacles. There’s a richer, freer life on the other side—full of faith, gratitude, and genuine independence. Turn off the noise, step outside, and you’ll find a good and blessed America the media refuse to show you. Maybe the real question is, who benefits when you’re miserable and afraid—and why should you keep playing along?
