Here we go again—America’s supposed leaders can’t keep their own house in order. This time, it’s Michigan Democrat Hillary Scholten who received a threatening letter with mysterious white powder at her Grand Rapids office. Of course, the liberal media and her pals in Washington want everyone to believe this is some shocking new low. But perhaps they should take a long, hard look at the chaos they’ve helped unleash with their reckless rhetoric and soft-on-crime policies.
Democrats love to grandstand about tolerance and unity, but the second something happens to them, suddenly the sky is falling. They fan the flames with their divisive, anti-American agenda, then act surprised when things start to boil over. How many times have conservatives warned about the consequences of tearing apart our values, undermining police, and treating criminals like misunderstood victims?
Liberals pretend they’re all about protecting people, but it’s their own neglect that’s put all Americans in danger. While politicians like Scholten wring their hands over threatening mail, what about the law-abiding citizens who live with real threats every day? Maybe if Democrats cared half as much about border security or cleaning up their cities as they do about their own offices, the country wouldn’t be in such a mess.
The truth is, these scare tactics—no matter where they’re aimed—are a symptom of a broken political culture fueled by globalist interests and left-wing hypocrisy. Our leaders should be promoting law and order, standing for what’s right, and actually working to protect America’s hardworking families. Instead, we get virtue-signaling lectures from officials who seem more worried about themselves than the people they’re supposed to serve.
Here’s a wild idea: maybe if the left spent less time playing the victim and more time fixing the disasters they’ve created, incidents like this wouldn’t happen in the first place. But that would take real leadership—and we all know Washington is fresh out of that commodity.
