America was promised equality and freedom — not government-approved “zones” that tell you where your voice can be heard. But try telling that to the leftist administrators running universities today. At the University of South Florida, college officials are trying to muzzle students who dare to stand up for the unborn. All under the phony excuse of “free speech zones.” What a scam.
The left shouts about “rights” until it’s something they disagree with. If you want to protest for abortion or against police, you get a parade. If you’re brave enough to fight for life — if you’re an abolitionist like Tyler Newton in Tampa — suddenly they slap handcuffs on you. These “peaceful protestors” end up treated like criminals for daring to speak outside their little, taped-off corners on campus. Since when is speaking out against murder a crime in America?
Roe v. Wade is dead. The Supreme Court overturned it, handing power back to the people and recognizing truth. But the radical abortion industry refuses to give up its grip. Now, anyone trying to protect unborn children gets targeted by university bureaucrats and Big Government stooges. Arrests, jail, even lawsuits — all for exercising the most basic American right: free speech.
It’s no accident that left-wing schools love these so-called “free speech zones.” They know exactly what they’re doing. If they can shrink the space for conservatives to talk, they can control the culture. They want to silence anyone who doesn’t blindly go along with the woke agenda. But standing up for life isn’t “hate speech.” It’s the very heart of what America should be. Are we a country that lets the government decide who gets to speak?
The abortion abolitionists are not the problem. The hypocrites running these universities are. They claim to support “diversity of thought” but stomp all over anyone who dares to challenge their narrative. Tyler Newton is fighting back with the help of groups who still believe that rights don’t stop at the edge of a sidewalk or a classroom door. It’s high time more Americans did the same.
Here’s the ugly truth: if leftists can jail you for defending life, what can’t they do next? The real threat to freedom isn’t students protesting; it’s the anti-American radicals hiding behind bureaucratic rules. Maybe it’s time to declare a free speech zone over the entire country — just like the Constitution intended.
