Congressman and family nearly caught in temple shooting as Democrat leaders let crime spiral

Over the weekend, a shocking story broke out of Illinois. Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi and his family were in a Hindu temple in Aurora last Sunday—a temple that became the target of a planned mass shooting. Let that sink in for a moment: A sitting U.S. Congressman, attending worship with his family, stood in harm’s way because criminals and radicals roam free while the left looks the other way.

This is what happens when Democrat policies go soft on crime and ignore the threat right in our own backyards. Illinois has been run by liberals for decades, and what do we have to show for it? Law-abiding citizens forced to fear for their lives in places of worship! The so-called “party of compassion” is too busy worrying about global interests and open borders to even keep its own people safe.

Do any of the elites in Chicago or Springfield seem worried? Of course not. They’ll preach about “gun control” and “tolerance” while refusing to actually deal with real criminals. Meanwhile, everyday Americans are left vulnerable in their own communities, all because left-wing leaders refuse to enforce the law and protect honest families.

Let’s not ignore why these attacks happen. Leftists push for weaker sentencing, more leniency, and “restorative justice”—nothing but empty words while dangerous individuals plot in the shadows. All the virtue signaling in the world won’t stop violence inside America’s houses of worship.

The American people are tired of being told to accept this madness as some kind of “new normal.” How many more families must be threatened before Democrats admit their soft-on-crime, globalist agenda has failed us? Or will they just keep blaming society and making excuses while bad guys walk free? Maybe it’s time real Americans take control and demand leaders who actually stand up for their communities’ safety. Enough is enough.
