Democrats never stop finding ways to embarrass themselves. Just look at Mikie Sherrill. She’s at it again, this time whining about the planned execution of a notorious terrorist involved in the Fort Hood massacre. You’d think after what happened at Fort Hood, everyone would agree: true justice must be served. Not so for Sherrill and her liberal buddies. For them, logic takes a backseat to woke nonsense every single time.
Mikie Sherrill actually acts upset—not because a jihadi killer dodged justice for years, but because she’s worried about the optics and whether it might upset certain progressive circles. To her, the real risk is “global perception” or “possible backlash.” It’s classic leftist insanity: worry more about how America looks to the world than about standing up for her own people. That’s how backwards things have gotten in Democrat-land.
We’re talking about one of the worst terror attacks on U.S. soil. Fort Hood survivors, American families, the men and women in uniform—they’ve been demanding real punishment for years. But to liberals like Sherrill, swift, decisive action is always “too harsh.” Their first instinct is to coddle the criminal, never protect the innocent. You cannot make this stuff up.
This is a perfect snapshot of everything wrong with the far left. They’ll bend over backward for criminals and foreign radicals but never side with victims or military heroes. Mikie Sherrill’s priorities show how deep this rot goes. While conservatives demand real justice, Democrats tie themselves in knots to avoid hurting feelings—all for the sake of “optics.” Pathetic.
It’s time for liberals to quit pretending they care about American safety. Their first concern will always be avoiding criticism from their globalist friends, never protecting real Americans. Maybe Mikie Sherrill should remember which country she’s supposed to represent. If Democrats can’t even get it right on terrorists, is there anything they won’t botch?
