Barack Obama is at it again—lecturing Israel from a safe distance and acting like the world’s moral authority while receiving yet another fancy award overseas. This time, it was Belfast, where the glitterati lined up to watch him collect an honorary doctorate. But instead of promoting peace, he took cheap shots at Israel, blaming the only democracy in the Middle East for daring to defend itself.
It’s the same tired story from global elites. Obama, comfortable and adored in posh arenas, accused Israel—a nation born from centuries of persecution—of somehow “taking land” that never belonged to them. He wrapped up his speech with veiled threats about Israel’s security policies, suggesting that relying on military strength is immoral, and hinting that Israel’s problem is building walls rather than making endless concessions to enemies sworn to destroy her.
Let’s get real. When Israel tries to protect its people, liberals in the West scream about occupation and apartheid. But where was Obama’s history lesson on the role of Arab armies that conquered the Holy Land centuries ago? Where was his condemnation of Hamas, the terrorist thugs who butchered Israelis in their homes last October? Instead, he offers token sympathy—and then pivots to blaming Israel for daring to exist in its ancestral homeland. The media never push back, and activists eat it up.
Obama conveniently forgets the basics: Jews have historic, biblical, and legal claims to their land. The world watched in 1948 as Israel was attacked from all sides, and again in 1967. Yet each time, when Israel makes peace offerings—even withdrawing from Gaza—it’s met with rockets, not goodwill. None of this fits the globalist narrative, so Obama and his circle just ignore it. It’s never about both sides trying for peace—it’s always Israel’s fault.
And let’s not ignore Obama’s friends here in the States, like Abdul El-Sayed and Zohran Mamdani, who love to bash Israel but are silent on Hamas’s gender apartheid and violent tactics. The hypocrisy is stunning. These are the people Obama champions, even as they boycott Israel Day but show up at every trendy protest or parade. They rant about injustice but side with those who call for Israel’s destruction.
What does it say about our former president that he can stand on a European stage and dog-whistle blame at Israel while cozying up to candidates who refuse to condemn terrorism? Obama had a chance to stand with the victims of evil—he chose, yet again, to make excuses for the aggressors. Maybe the real October surprise is just how much damage the “hope and change” crowd keeps doing, long after they’ve left the White House.
