Nidal Hasan is living proof that America has lost its backbone when it comes to justice. Nearly two decades after his shameful massacre at Fort Hood, he’s still breathing—no justice, no closure, just bureaucracy and excuses. The establishment spends years wringing its hands, afraid to act, while true patriots are left to wonder: When did this country start protecting traitors over its own heroes?
Let’s make one thing clear. Hasan isn’t just a murderer—he’s a traitor of the worst kind. He put on the uniform, swore an oath to defend this country, and then turned around and betrayed every single American soldier by slaughtering them in cold blood. It’s the kind of cowardly ambush that once carried the worst stain of dishonor—a sneaking, backstabbing act that would have gotten him strung up immediately in saner times. Instead, thanks to soft-hearted liberal judges and a system twisted by political correctness, he sits on death row, still making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
This isn’t just about one monster. We’ve seen others cut from the same rotten cloth, like Hasan Akbar, who betrayed his uniform and country in a fit of jihadist rage. Every time, the media and left-wing apologists twist themselves into knots to avoid saying the obvious: this is what happens when you let radical, hateful ideology fester in any institution, from the military to the airlines. Instead of calling out evil for what it is, liberals preach “tolerance,” even as Americans are murdered in their sleep or stabbed in the back.
Let’s face facts: for scum like Hasan, Akbar, or the airline hijacker wannabe in Dubai, religion is nothing but a costume—a rotten excuse used to justify the most depraved violence. These killers claim to act in the name of Allah, but all they really prove is that they worship at the altar of destruction and treachery. Their so-called “martyrdom” is nothing but a ticket to more chaos, as they dream of inspiring more attacks on the West. The left, meanwhile, keeps tiptoeing around the truth, too afraid of being called “intolerant” to say what normal Americans are already thinking.
There’s a reason ancient cultures treated traitors and cowards with the utmost contempt. Outlaws and oath-breakers were put outside society, hidden away, or erased from the world entirely—no grandstanding, no public honor, just disgrace and a swift end. That’s exactly what today’s traitors deserve. Don’t give them the limelight they crave; don’t let the radical mobs cheer their so-called “sacrifice.” Give real justice, swiftly and quietly. Justice that actually means something.
The ugly truth is, the longer America coddles villains like Hasan, the more we signal weakness to our enemies—foreign and domestic. How many more times do we have to hear about “appeals” and “procedural fairness” when the evidence is beyond doubt, the guilt is confessed, and the victims’ families are left with nothing but pain? At what point will we finally put American lives above the twisted feelings of murderers and traitors? Maybe it’s time to start asking why the left keeps protecting America’s worst enemies—does “compassion” really mean letting evil off the hook?
