Thank goodness this con artist is finally back on U.S. soil and set to answer for his crimes.
Let’s get real. The only reason this guy swindled the system for so long is because liberals fight tooth and nail against every sensible reform. Try to tighten up welfare? The left screams about “compassion” and “equity.” Meanwhile, hard-working Americans are forced to bankroll an endless parade of fraudsters and freeloaders. If you want proof, just look at this latest scam. A single small store siphoned off more than half a million dollars—money meant for real families in need. Who’s watching the store? Certainly not the bureaucrats and politicians who claim they care so much about the poor.
And of course, when this grocer got caught, did he stick around to face the music? Not a chance! He hopped on a plane to India, hoping that an international border would shield him from justice. Liberals are too busy preaching open borders and global “solidarity” to notice how—once again—these failures leave our country vulnerable. Criminals aren’t dumb. They know the system is broken, and they exploit every loophole time and time again.
What’s even more pathetic is how the left loves to act outraged after the fact, but they will never admit that their soft-on-crime, anti-accountability approach paved the way for abuses like this. Instead of fixing the welfare system, they attack anyone who dares to question the bottomless pit of wasted tax dollars. Sorry, but the real crime is forcing Americans who play by the rules to pick up the tab for people who never intended to follow them.
