Venezuela gets tough on crime while liberal cities spiral out of control

Criminals run wild in too many cities. Just look at the so-called progressives running America’s blue states. They make a mess of things, blame everyone else, and let thugs rule the streets. But down south, some leaders are finally waking up and doing what needs to be done. Venezuela, of all places, is teaching the left a lesson. Imagine that—socialist Venezuela suddenly gets serious about crime while liberals in D.C. keep making excuses.

What changed? Simple. The authorities in Caracas stopped playing games. They sent police to crack down hard, hunting down gangs and putting the worst offenders where they belong—out of commission. When the cops actually do their jobs and government puts public safety above hand-wringing about “rights” for criminals, things start to change fast. It’s not rocket science. The left screams about “root causes” and hugs criminals, but the reality on the ground is plain: strength works.

This is exactly what El Salvador did under Nayib Bukele. He cleaned house, locked up the street gangs, and took back his country. Liberals in the U.S. clutched their pearls, worried about the “dignity” of gang members. Meanwhile, regular folks cheered because they could finally leave their homes without fear. The common sense solution: fight crime with force, not feelings.

It’s funny. The same liberal elites who look down their noses at Latin America are now failing at basic law-and-order in places like San Francisco and Chicago. They yap about police “reform” while families bury their children. Too often, they act like protecting criminals is more important than protecting the rest of us. Maybe they should turn on their TVs and see what happens when a country actually stands up to the thugs.

The message is clear. You want less crime? Do the hard work. Don’t ask permission from globalist do-gooders or cower before activist mobs. Real safety comes from brave leadership, not endless talk. Isn’t it funny when Venezuela makes more sense than the clowns running American cities?
