Big Brother is tightening its grip, and now it’s coming for West Virginia. Politicians in Charleston are suddenly wringing their hands over “privacy” after license plate reader cameras started popping up everywhere. Who’s actually watching these cameras? What’s happening to the mountains of footage being collected? That’s the multi-million-dollar question nobody in power seems interested in answering.
West Virginians know these camera systems sound like something out of a dystopian sci-fi movie—except it’s all too real. Supposedly, these cameras just track license plates. But once the state collects footage of where you go and when, there’s no telling how that info might be misused. Can government employees just sift through your every move? If you trust bureaucrats—or tech companies with Washington lobbyists—to respect your privacy, you haven’t been paying attention.
Once again, it’s liberal politicians and privacy “experts” pretending to care about our rights, but where were these folks when Washington and Silicon Valley teamed up to spy on everyday Americans for years? Suddenly, now that working class West Virginians might be watched, everyone’s shocked to discover that digital snooping is out of control. This is what happens when government grows too big and powerful, fueled by globalist tech interests with no love for American values.
The hypocrisy is thick. While judges and lawmakers put on a bipartisan show of concern, they quietly look the other way when it comes to the real threat: unchecked access by government employees and shadowy contractors. Who gets to see your family’s routines? Who decides where that data winds up? Liberals want endless data collection for their own “safety”—until it bites back at them. Then they put on a show and act surprised.
Americans demand real accountability—not just more useless policies and fake outrage. Either we stand up to surveillance creep now or let unelected elites track our daily lives forever. Is West Virginia going to fight for freedom, or bow down to the tech overlords and their pet politicians?
