Gavin Newsom struts around like a future president, but his California record is a horror show that should send shivers down America’s spine. This is a man who thinks hiking taxes a staggering $14.3 billion is some kind of gift to the people. In his mind, bleeding out the middle class is a badge of leadership. Only in the twisted world of liberal politics does taking more of your money somehow count as generosity.
Californians already endure some of the highest taxes anywhere in America. What do they get for it? Skyrocketing prices, crime that doesn’t quit, and streets littered with tent cities. Families that once dreamed big are getting pushed out by costs they can’t afford, all while Newsom’s political friends pocket bigger chunks of taxpayer cash.
Newsom sells himself as a progressive trailblazer. The real story is a trail of broken promises. Homes are unaffordable, jobs are leaving, and the so-called “Golden State” is losing its shine. Who’s winning? Not hard-working Americans. It’s the special interests, Silicon Valley elites, and globalists who see ordinary citizens as piggy banks to raid.
This is the “model” Newsom wants to take nationwide. Higher taxes, more homeless encampments, and government control at every turn. It’s the classic liberal playbook: punish the producers, reward the takers, and call it “progress.” Meanwhile, Newsom blames everyone but himself for the mess his administration created.
If Washington wants another leader who values flashy gestures over real results, then Newsom is the perfect pick. But the rest of us should be asking: do we really want to turn the whole country into California’s disaster zone? America deserves better than another tax-and-spend liberal looking to wreck what’s left of our freedom.
