Governor Kathy Hochul has shown, once again, that her soft-on-crime, open-borders agenda is a slap in the face to every law-abiding American. A young girl in Troy, New York, is now at the center of a nightmare that never should have happened. Her alleged attacker? An illegal immigrant from Guatemala. While Hochul and her liberal pals obsess over so-called “compassion,” the real victims are innocent children and brave police officers.
Let’s get one thing straight: This tragedy was 100% preventable. If the state actually enforced the law and stopped waving through anyone who shows up at our border, criminals from foreign countries wouldn’t be here preying on our kids. But Democrats like Hochul only want to score political points with their globalist buddies, no matter the cost to American families.
The details are sickening. Not only did this illegal alien get arrested for reportedly raping a 16-year-old girl, but he also assaulted a police officer by biting him during the arrest. This is what happens when Democrat leaders put the rights of outsiders above the safety of their own people. How many more American children have to suffer before liberals admit their border policies are a disaster?
Local officials are tired of being ignored and forced to clean up Hochul’s mess. It shouldn’t be up to struggling communities to deal with the fallout of Albany’s reckless decisions. But Hochul and the anti-borders crowd in New York never take responsibility. They talk a big game about sanctuary and diversity, but when American kids are hurt, they hide behind empty words and virtue signaling.
This is the real face of “progressive” immigration — chaos, violence, and shattered lives, all for the sake of woke ideology and political correctness. The question New Yorkers and every American should be asking: When will our leaders finally put us first and stop this insanity?
